If ever a company was to live its corporate slogan it is Placid Pools, one of Australia’s success stories in the swimming pool, spa and sauna industries. As with any genuine success story it didn’t happen overnight or by accident.

From modest beginnings in 1978, this Cairns based company has grown to be the largest in the pool, spa and sauna sector not only in far north Queensland but throughout Australia.

From saunas to spas, fittings to functions - all under one roof 
Our Purpose-Built Display Centre isn’t just a one-stop shop for pools, spas, saunas, supplies, construction materials and equipment It houses an entertainment and functions centre, the backdrop for which is the landscape and ambience created by our many display pools. We aim to give something back to the city and region which has been so good to Placid Pools.

A place in the industry
Placid Pools is a driving force in Swimming Pool and Spa Association (SPASA), the state trade association which oversees pool and spa construction and renovation. SPASA hosts the annual awards which contribute to excellence in pool construction.

Looking to the future
Our new display centre will feature an organic pool which creates a superb swimming environment through the use of water-based plants to take the place of chemicals in conditioning the water for safe and healthy swimming.
