Unlike other pool builders Placid Pools is self-sufficient. We have all our own tools, equipment and vehicles and do not rely on sub-contractors. We’ve even got our own concrete pump. And, whatever we need to build your pool, from forming steel to landscape supplies, is immediately available from our new warehouse and display centre.

How We Build Pools

1. Design and planning.
The first and most important step. We don’t start a pool until we have a clear and focused plan that reflects your wishes and our building experience and knowledge.

2. Dig
The heavy vehicles come on-site to dig out the desired shape and remove the soil.

3. Shell reinforcing & plumbing
Long steel bars are laid into the shape of the pool. This ensures the pool does not crack or break once concrete is pumped into the desired shape.

4. Concrete shell
Ready mixed concrete trucks and concrete pumps join forces and your pool starts to take shape. Our well proven construction techniques, based on the strongest concrete specification, are supported by a six year warranty.

5. Finish and plumbing
The surface of your pool is finished with your choice of tiles or pebbles. We can also create unique colour finishes. As well as our two pebble finishing crews we have specialist tilers, stonemasons and even sculptors to turn your dream into reality.
